Y&R Auckland's "McWhopper" campaign to celebrate and raise awareness of
World Peace Day. Burger King proposed to put the 'Burger Wars' aside for one day and create a burger combining the best bits from McDonalds 'Big Mac' and their very own 'Whopper'. (See the open letter in the images below.) Billboards were cleverly positioned to create perfect photo opportunities and highlight Burger King's peace offerings. Within the creative world the campaign was applauded internationally, just a shame McDonalds weren't into it!
